After the upgrade of vCenter Operations 5.0.3 (vAPP) to vCenter Operations 5.6 I got an empty screen when I started the vCenter Operations Manager website and the Dashboard view:

So I started to troubleshoot and a Goolge search. When I found the following thread on the VMware communities: http://communities.vmware.com/message/2158059. The fix is really easy. Just clear your browser cache and after that, the Dashboard view will work again.

  1. Hi,
I’ve upgraded from 5.0.1 to 5.6, but now I have just 3 tabs: Environment, Operations and Alerts.
Do you have any idea what the fix should be?

    Thanks in advance

    1. @Hamid, after so long, I guess you have resolved the issue after your upgrade to 5.6, but just in case…..
From my small experience, I would say that your “only 3 tab” issue could be license related. Check the admin console registration status screen of vCOps [https://vcopshostname/admin] to identify if you have the correct edition license allocated.
In my case, the license edition reverted to Foundation and I had to contact vMware for a new license key to get my Advanced edition activated again.
      Hope this helps!
      Stuart
